Trio Con Brio

 

A Syracuse native, Victoria Bullock currently serves in the Syracuse Symphony in the position of Second and E-flat Clarinet. Victoria studied locally with Dr. David Abrams before attending the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where her tutor was Donald Montanaro of the Philadelphia Orchestra. After receiving a Bachelor's degree in 1993, she earned a Master's in 1997 from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester. Returning to Philadelphia, Victoria became a frequent substitute in the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as a member of one of the orchestra's woodwind quintets. In 1999 she toured the Far East with The Philadelphia Orchestra in Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam. She was also a member of the Philadelphia Opera Company orchestra, Concerto Soloists Chamber Orchestra, and the Delaware Symphony. In 2001 Victoria won her current position in the SSO. She is an enthusiastic chamber musician.

 

Li Li began music studies at age five with her father, Xue-ke Li, viola professor at the Shenyang Conservatory in northeastern China. She came to the USA with a full scholarship at age 18 to earn her bachelor's degree from the Boston Conservatory. She then earned a Master's degree at Boston University where she studied with Steven Ansell, principal viola of the Boston Symphony. She was invited to Tanglewood as principal violist for three seasons, working with maestro Seiji Ozawa, Yo-Yo Ma, The Juilliard String Quartet, and others. Li Li won the Brevard Music Festival Concerto Competition and the American String Teacher's Association competition twice. She has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony. She won her position in the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in 2001 and in 2003 was appointed to the viola faculty of Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music. Syracusan Patricia DeAngelis holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in piano performance from Syracuse University, earned while on full scholarship. Her teachers include American pianists/composers George Mulfinger and Ernst Bacon; Leon Fleisher and Gyorgy Sebok (master classes USA and Switzerland.)  She has performed in Carnegie Recital Hall, Town Hall, live on FM station WQXR and in concert halls in many states of the USA and Canada. She has also been active as keyboardist for the Syracuse Symphony, the Syracuse Chorale, Society for New Music, the Skaneateles Festival, Blue Mountain Lake Festival. Old Forge Festival, the Trio Dolce, the Dranchek/DeAngelis Duo, and other local organizations. She retired from a twenty year tenure at Colgate University in 1999, and was invited to join the newly-formed Music Department of LeMoyne College in 2004. As board member of the Central New York Association of Music Teachers, she has organized several benefit concerts for its scholarship fund. In 2000 ago she implemented the Classical Concert Series for OASIS, Inc., and remains its concert coordinator.
